Abstract:
This pilot study demonstrates language style matching (LSM) as a potential evaluation tool. LSM is used to examine the mirroring between counselor and client in discourse related to suicide and general topics. The results showed no statistically significant LSM differences, and both suicide and general counseling had high LSM alignment.
